Equality, diversity and cultural sensitivity are core to business success. Whether selling a product or service, staff on the ‘front-line’ are crucial to maintaining or establishing an organisation’s reputation.
Wherever we work and whatever we do, we are likely to come into contact with other nationalities. Whether colleagues or customers it’s important to be aware of cultural sensitivity. This interactive workshop considers issues and responsibilities which underpin professional practice. It further explores culture and values within mentoring relationships; confidently communicating and relating with people from different backgrounds.
Led by an experienced independent social work consultant with a legal background, the workshop will:
• Consider what diversity means
• Recognise stereotypes and where they come from
• Understand the law and how it can be applied
• Consider own knowledge and learn more about diversity
• Be able to apply best practice in work and personal lives.
