The programme, delivered in two practical workshops focuses on:
• the importance of preparation
• effective use of ‘I’ and ‘you’
• key elements including feelings (yours and theirs), behaviour, affects and a focus on facts – not opinions or values.
The two half-day workshops not only provide tools to communicate effectively in often difficult situations but allow techniques learned in the first workshop to be practised before completing the programme.
Workshops work together to build confidence when next faced with a difficult conversation.
Interactive workshops led by experienced facilitators, are based on the reality of the day-to-day workplace. They are supported with a comprehensive workbook containing additional material for future reference.
All half-day workshops provide a flexible in-house resource which can be tweaked to reflect specific training needs.
